Dear Árni,
First of all I tried the example in my machine and it worked fine. Just
to be sure I had not changed anything locally, I moved the
Simple_messenger files and directories to another directory and typed
"svn update" to make sure I was working with the latest version in the
repository. The example worked fine for me.
You mention that you have tried to fix it yourself so I suggest we try
afresh from the start.
1) Create a new directory for McErlang or move the files and directories
that you have now in the McErlang directory to another directory
2) Type "svn update"
3) Go to the directory where McErlang is stored and type "make"
4) Go to the McErlang/examples/Simple_messenger directory and type "make"
5) Go to the McErlang/examples/Simple_messenger/ebin directory and type
"mcerl"
6) Then type "run:safety()."
Let me know how it goes now.
